[New York, January 12, 2024] CLO Virtual Fashion, an industry leader in cloth simulation technology, is thrilled to announce that Marvelous Designer - the company’s 3D design software for film, gaming and VFX artists - and Founder Jaden Oh have been awarded the Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The annual Scientific and Technical Awards celebrate the achievements that demonstrate a proven record of contributing significant value to the process of making motion pictures. Marvelous Designer has been credited with creating “a pattern-based approach to digital costume construction, unifying design and visualization and providing a virtual analogy to physical tailoring.”
The Academy noted that under the guidance of Founder Jaden Oh, “the team of engineers, UX designers and 3D designers at CLO Virtual Fashion has helped to raise the quality of appearance and motion in digital wardrobe creations.”

The Scientific-Technical Awards ceremony will be held Friday, February 23, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
